Kinetica Museum, celebrates its 20th Year Anniversary, leading the way forward in pioneering Contemporary Art.
Kinetica Museum’s launch exhibition featured the ‘Ancestral Path’, a tribe of mythological machines from Amorphic Robot Works, a collective of artists and technologists from New York.
Chico MacMurtrie, Amorphic Robot Works founder & visionary talks in depth about the Amorphic sculptures in this insightful film footage below. It also shows performances from many of the characters within the ‘Ancestral Path’. Captivating, rhythmical and sometimes disturbing hybrids of man, animal and machine.
Amorphic Robot Works originally formed in San Francisco in the early 1990’s and were some of the very first artists to use interface systems in their work, technology that came directly from nearby Silicon Valley.
Artists warping new technologies to create an alternative vision.
The footage also includes Kinetica’s Artistic Director Dianne Harris highlighting Kinetica’s vision and interviews from members of the public.
