Thursday, 1 July 2010 - Town Hall Artworks Open Day
The magnificent Grade II-listed Bethnal Green Town Hall has been radically transformed and is now Town Hall and Hotel & Apartments.
Balint Bolygo has been commissioned to create a site specific permanent moving light sculpture titled Aurora, as well as artists Debbie Lawson, Peter Liversidge, Zoe Mendelson, Claire Morgan and walkwalkwalk adding innovation to this exclusive hotel.
For one day, the Town Hall Hotel opens its doors for the public to explore the artworks and buliding, with tours led by curators and architects, and a one-off performance by the artist collective walkwalkwalk.
